PiggyPLAN is an educational virtual pet experience designed to teach responsibility, budgeting, and long-term decision-making through interactive gameplay. By combining pet care mechanics with financial tracking and real-world concepts, PiggyPLAN encourages users to think critically about how daily choices shape future outcomes.
At the center of PiggyPLAN is a customizable virtual pet that grows and evolves based on how it is treated over time. Users choose their pet type, name it, and guide its development from a small pet into a fully grown companion. Visual changes—including appearance, age group, and emotional state—reflect consistent care or neglect, reinforcing the idea that responsibility requires sustained effort rather than one-time actions.
Gameplay revolves around managing limited in-game currency tied directly to pet care. Actions such as feeding, playing, cleaning, resting, and visiting the vet all carry costs, while productive activities earn currency. A built-in savings system allows users to deposit money to prevent impulsive spending, teaching budgeting and delayed gratification. Every action is logged in a detailed transaction history so users can clearly see how their financial decisions affect their pet’s well-being.
PiggyPLAN also features interactive AI-driven components that enhance accessibility and engagement. Voice AI allows users to navigate the app entirely through spoken commands, with real-time transcription and audio feedback. Face AI introduces a playful real-world connection by recognizing a real or stuffed animal through the camera and matching it to a corresponding in-game pet.
Educational content is woven directly into the experience through short podcast episodes focused on responsibility, ethical decision-making, and long-term commitment. These episodes reinforce PiggyPLAN’s core values—Plan, Engage, Thrive—by connecting in-game behavior to real-life habits.
